1. David Unaipon

David Unaipon (1872–1967), an Aboriginal Australian of the Ngarrindjeri people, was a writer, inventor, and public speaker. He is best known for his significant contributions to the field of Aboriginal literature and for his invention of an early mechanical sheep shearing device.

2. Stan Grant Sr.

Stan Grant Sr. (1938–2003) was a Wiradjuri elder and prominent Aboriginal activist. He played a significant role in advocating for Indigenous rights and was involved in activities such as protests, land rights campaigns, and cultural preservation efforts.

3. Tommy Raudonikis

Tommy Raudonikis (1950–2021) was an Australian rugby league footballer and coach. He grew up in Moree and went on to become a highly successful player, representing both New South Wales and Australia in international matches. Raudonikis later served as a coach for various rugby league teams.

4. John Gorton

John Grey Gorton (1911–2002) was an Australian politician who served as the 19th Prime Minister of Australia from 1968 to 1971. He was born in Wellington, New Zealand, but spent his formative years in Moree where his family owned a grocery store.

5. Adam Scott

Adam Scott (born 1980) is a professional golfer who has had tremendous success on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. Though born in Adelaide, South Australia, Scott spent part of his childhood in Moree after his family relocated to the town for his father's work.
